Search Engine Optimization

The SEO tab of the product edit page houses your search engine optimization information. You can increase your organic SEO ranking by utilizing these product specific fields.

What Information Can I Control With The SEO Tab?

The Product SEO tab includes the following fields:

  • Page Title - The page title as it will appear to search engines and at the top of most browsers and generally has character limitations*
    • *This field is not limited in the PIM as the character limits imposed externally are constantly changing
  • Meta Description - Plain text description visible to search engines. Also what will appear below the link to your page. Generally limited to 320 characters*
    • *This field is not limited in the PIM as the character limits imposed externally are constantly changing
    • NOTE: SKU must be unique or the product will not save

  • Meta Keywords - a comma separated list of keywords visible to search engines

Other Actions

  1. The Go Back button at the bottom returns you to the product index page.
  2. The Update button saves all fields from the product SEO tab and triggers a product sync.

Advanced Features

Versions

If you have versions enabled and have created a version a dropdown will appear in the upper right hand corner of the SEO tab. By default it will say master and allows toggling between versions. Here you can create and store separate SEO elements for each version.
